It has been about 6 months since I last released a song and I figured it was about time to fly another musical flag up. This is the 12th single since I started releasing this batch of music. I hope that this upbeat, sing-a-long song brings a smile to your day. Thank you for being a supporter of this crazy journey.

“You’re Just Too Good To Let Go”

This is a re-imaging of a previously released song. This song was forged in the middle of a COLD NYC night while contemplating whether to “Let Go” or “Stay the Course.” The challenge became what was I thinking of letting go? It all seemed so murky in the absence of light. Let go of my dreams? Let go of relationships? Let go of a way of thinking? Let go of myself?

The dark, cold winter night can make things seem much larger than they really are. When problems are put under a microscope it becomes easier to see how all the tentacles of life are wrapped around each other and that MAYBE things are not bad at all. It is just in how one looks at them. Perspective. The songs conclusion is that while things may not be perfect, life would be less fulfilling if one “Let Go” of the things they love. The best course of action is to stay the course with the things and people that we love. Somethings and people are “Just Too Good To Let Go.”

So, this is my Valentines Day Theme Song. Stay the course, practice forgiveness, acceptance, work on oneself and hold on to and celebrate who you love.

“Maybe We Can Learn To Fly”

Recorded in Nashville with an ace group of musicians, these heady thoughts are enveloped in a breezy carefree musical blanket. This song harkens back to 70’s Southern California Country but recorded and mixed with modern sensibility. Again, the Nashville “wrecking crew” delivered. Scott Neubert, Jason Roller, Dwain Rowe and Steve Holland knocked it out of the park. And of course, my ragged baritone voice is seasoned with the amazing vocals of Amy Trail and Roan Smith.

“You’re Just Too Good To Let Go” is upbeat, positive and toe-tappable with a huge chorus that will be stuck in your head and ( hopefully ) put a smile on your face.
